Can others tell you're capturing them?
Savvy customer Yvonne B asks "With everyone on Zoom now, can others see if I'm recording them?"
Generally no, there's no way anyone can tell what you capture or record.
But video conference programs like Zoom offer a share desktop feature, where everyone sees your desktop.
Then, people could see the blinking CW icon on the taskbar.
They could also see any open screenshots.
And if you opened a diagnostic tool, such as Task Manager, they could see CW running furiously.
So you're safe, as long as you don't share your desktop.
February bonus: Groundhog Day review.
Tomorrow will be groundhog day, again, and to help you celebrate, here's my geek style review of the wonderful movie, Groundhog Day, with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell (1993):
do {
